Classic massages

Abhyanga is the ancient Indian word for massage.

Shiro Abhyanga (Indian Head massage) – 35 mins – £30.00

Indian head massage helps calm the nervous system, reduces stress and tension, relieves mild headache, opens the sinus’, helps those struggling with insomnia and reduces hair loss.

Mukha Shiro (Face massage) – 25mins – £15.00 or £10.00 if added on to any massage.

The face massage reduces wrinkles, pigmentations, acne and signs of ageing. It helps calm the mind, improves sleep and tones up the facial muscles. This treatment is not a facial. It is a beautiful massage of the face and neck area. A scalp massage is also included.

Abhyanga (Full/half body massage) – 60 mins – £40.00 / 30 mins – £30.00

Abhyanga has many benefits, these include calming the nervous system, increasing blood flow, aids in removing toxins, improves sleep and brings energy to the entire body. This massage flows up and down the entire body, lulling you into deep relaxation with it’s rhythmical flow.

Rituals

Foot ritual (Kansu bowl and foot massage) – 20 mins – £15.00 or £10.00 if added on to any massage.

Ayurveda has a special foot massage technique using a Kansu bowl. The bowl contains 3 metals, Copper, bronze and zinc, each metal has it’s own therapeutic benefits. Kansu bowls are part of Ayurvedic Medicine. We often ignore our feet, yet we are on them all day and they support us through life. Kansu bowl restore balance to the entire body The treatment assists in deeper sleep, reduced stress, depression and anxiety and improves overall metabolism and strength to the lower limbs.

‘The Works’

Full body abhyanga, scalp, face massage and kansu foot massage 1 hour 45 minutes – £55.00

‘Revival’

Half body Abhyanga, Kansu bowl foot massage followed by head massage 50 minutes – £40.00

Specialist treatments 

Kizhi (pronounced Kidhee) – Herbal bags – from £40.00

From £40.00 per individual treatment (1 hour). When being used in conjunction with a lifestyle consultation, prices will be discussed with the individual.

There are 3 types of herbal bags:

Ela – Fresh herbal leaves are used. This treatment is excellent for the nervous system, relieves pain and involuntary movements or tremors, nourishes the bones and is anti-aging.

Podi – Dry heating powders are used. It is excellent in helping remove excess water from the body. It is a heating treatment so induces sweating and when used in conjunction with a healthy balanced lifestyle, over time, aids in removing excess fat.

Navara – Navara is a sweet rice, which is known to have medicinal properties.  The rice is cooked and then put into the bags. This Kizhi promotes the growth of red blood cells, reduces anaemia, heals ulcers, strengthens the nervous system, strengthens bones and helps relieve osteoporosis.

Ela and Podi are applied using warm oil, Navara is applied using cool cows milk.

Vasti – from 40.00

These are localised treatments that focus on upper and lower back and the knees. The treatment can also be done for the eyes, using drops of ghee. Dough rings are made using wheat flour and water, they are then applied to the area being treated and warm oil is poured into the ring. 

Benefits of Vasti for back and knees:

Relieves back pain, sciatica, knee pain, dry and cracking joints. 

Udwarthanam (Massage with herbal powders) – 60 mins – 40.00

The treatment uses dry herbal powers, the powders are applied to the body using massage stokes. As the powders are dry, it is good for exfoliating the skin. This therapy is very good for melting away excess fat, when combined with a healthy lifestyle. The other benefits include skin health, dryness of the skin and itchiness. It also helps with excess sweating and various skin diseases. It is a very good treatment for aggravated Vata and Kapha. Please note, you may feel cold after this treatment.

Lifestyle consultations

Discover your dosha, what you should and shouldn’t be eating and how to restore balance. This can be added to any treatment. You will need to complete a questionnaire and then I can determine what your dosha is and help you make changes to your diet and lifestyle.

6 month package including dosha test, lifestyle and food plan, weekly check ins, 1 full body Abhyanga, 1 Indian head massage and 1 Pranayama session – £250.00
